Welcome to Salts, a platform that connects customers with verified home chefs and food vendors for fresh, home-cooked meals and deliveries. By accessing or using our mobile application or website ("Platform"), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), which form a legal agreement between you and Salts, operated by [Your Company Name] ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Platform.

1. Eligibility

To use Salts, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.
• Agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. User Registration

To place orders or subscribe to meal plans, users must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information.
• Keep login credentials secure.
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts in case of suspicious or fraudulent behavior.

3. Services Overview

Salts allows you to:

• Browse and order food from local home chefs and verified vendors.
• Subscribe to weekly/monthly meal plans.
• Choose delivery slots and track orders in real time.
• Make secure online payments.

We act as a facilitator only. We do not cook, store, or deliver food ourselves. All food is prepared by the chefs/vendors, and deliveries are handled either directly by them or through third-party delivery partners.

4. Orders and Payments

Order Process:

• Orders must be placed through the Salts app or website.
• Each order is subject to chef/vendor confirmation.
• Orders cannot be edited once confirmed.

Pricing:

• All prices are listed in INR and are inclusive of applicable GST.
• Delivery fees, if any, will be added at checkout.

Payment Methods:

• UPI, Credit/Debit Cards, Net Banking, and Wallets are accepted.
• All payments are processed through secure third-party gateways.
• Salts is not responsible for issues related to payment gateway failures.

5. Delivery Terms

Timelines:

• Delivery time estimates are shown during order placement.
• Delivery may be delayed due to weather, traffic, or high demand.

Address and Availability:

• Ensure that the delivery address and phone number are accurate.
• Customers must be present to receive the order.

Failed Deliveries:

• If you are unavailable or unreachable, the order will be marked as "Delivered," and no refund will be issued.

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation:

• Orders can only be canceled within 2 minutes of placement.
• No cancellations are allowed after the chef has started preparing your order.

Refunds:

• Refunds will be issued only if:
  • The chef/vendor cancels the order.
  • The order is not delivered due to system error or chef unavailability.
• Refunds will be processed within 5–7 working days via the original payment method.

Complaints and Replacements:

• Report incorrect or damaged items within 1 hour of delivery with photographic evidence.
• Replacement is subject to vendor confirmation and availability.

7. Meal Subscriptions

• Subscription plans can be paused or modified with 24-hour notice.
• Non-consumed meals will not be refunded unless prior notice is given.
• Meal plans are non-transferable and must be consumed within the validity period.

8. Chef/Vendor Responsibilities

All listed chefs and vendors are responsible for:

• Complying with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Updating availability and menu items regularly.
• Resolving customer issues with support from Salts.

We perform background verification and onboarding checks, but final accountability for food quality lies with the chef/vendor.

9. User Responsibilities

By using the app, you agree not to:

• Use the platform for illegal or harmful purposes.
• Post defamatory or offensive content in reviews.
• Abuse refund or cancellation policies.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts.

Violation of these rules may lead to suspension or termination of your account.

10. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, content, and designs on Salts are owned by or licensed to [Your Company Name]. You are not permitted to:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute our content.
• Use our brand assets without prior written consent.

11. Third-Party Services

Salts may contain links to third-party services (e.g., payment gateways, delivery services). We are not responsible for:

12. Limitation of Liability

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Salts, its employees, directors, and partners from any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising out of:

• Your use of the Platform.
• Violation of these Terms.
• Infringement of third-party rights.
